When we let go of perfectionism we create less shame within us. When we stop thinking that our worthiness depends on how great we do things or how perfect we are, we let go of our shame. When you understand that you can do it all wrong, you can say it all wrong and you will still be loved, and still be worthy, you let go off shame… when you understand and embrace your imperfections without thinking they devalue who you are at your core, you let go of shame.
Perfectionism is unattainable, and as long as you continue to believe that your worthiness depends on what you have and don’t have, what you do right or do wrong, what you say right or say wrong, you will constantly battle with the feeling of shame.
